Mayday Singapore F1 2014 Set List

ashin f1 2

So Mayday performed for close to 1 hour 50 minutes last night! My friends are still suffering from Mayday withdrawal symptoms. My brother was blown away by Mayday. Even my father was impressed.

The set list consisted of many classic Mayday rock hits. It served as a comprehensive ‘Mayday introduction’ to people who watched Mayday’s live performance for the first time last night. Mayday seized the opportunity to showcase their music to a mainly ‘international’ and ‘non-Mayday-fans’ crowd. I believe that some people were converted into Mayday fans after a close to 2 hours sensational live performance by the boys.

While Mayday has been around for 15 years and has truckloads of fans in East Asia, they are still pretty ‘underrated’ in Singapore. Usually Mayday’s concert will be sold out for the first night but not the second night. This is probably due to the fact that Singapore has a much smaller population and there is a more diverse range of interests in music amongst Singaporeans. In comparison, it is common for Mayday to have numerous sold-out concerts in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. Thus, it is usually much easier to secure concert tickets in Singapore. Hopefully, more Singaporeans will start to appreciate Mayday music after F1! And maybe it will be more difficult to secure Mayday tickets in Singapore in the future…

Oh well, I wish I were at Padang with Mayday last night. I will make sure that I am in Singapore when the boys visit Singapore next time…勾勾手盖手印这一刻有约定…

Wished I was there too last night. Can never get enough of them. So electrifyingly infectious. Watch their videos frequently and attended their concert for the first time in Singapore last year and I swear the withdrawal syndrome lasted for weeks. Something about the music and lyrics that stirs your soul which seem to hang around for a while which I cannot put my finger on it at the moment. I was in UK when they were promoting their Europe tour and was so tempted to attend all their concerts in Europe. Then they were in Seoul and I was in South Korea as well because of job relocation. If not for family commitment, I would have gone to all those concerts. Any idea if they are going to hold concerts in Taiwan or Hong Kong in the near future? That is one thing I would like on my bucket list. To attend their concert in Taiwan. Let me know if you hear of anything.

Thanks for the post and songlist, There were many in the audience accompanying their friends for the concert. It was great standing together with the fans in the fanzone though another hour would have been let us hear more of their songs, it was over all too soon…Just to highlight, the second last song was tu ran hao xiang ni. typo.
